Windsor & Eton Brewery were the first Brewery in Windsor for Over 80 Years
Windsor and Eton are already famous for many things. The castle, school, river, racecourse and of course the Royal connections. For hundreds of years Windsor breweries were also famous for the quality and consistency of their beers but all that came to an end with the closure of the last brewery in 1931.
“In 2010 when we brought brewing back to the heart of Windsor, we wanted to add beer back to the list. In fact, we had a crazy idea to make beer the top attraction.
We had spent our working lives in big corporate businesses and WEBREW was our chance to make a business that we would be proud of in every sense. From its ethical business practices; its environmental and community focus and great beers!”

As a finishing touch, we are using champagne yeast to create a beer that’s platinum pale in colour and refreshing in taste, which was especially brewed for the Queens Platinum Jubilee Weekend.
The beers often represent historical references and have interesting back stories
Windsor & Eton is the closest brewery to Runnymede where the Magna Carta was signed in 1215. To celebrate the 800th anniversary the brewery brewed a special beer with a label design by popular artist Graham Clarke who was reportedly one of the Queen Mothers favourite artists.
Wellington famously said that the battle of Waterloo was won on the playing fields of Eton. In 2015 on the 200th anniversary of the battle, the brewery brewed a special Waterloo edition of their famous GUARDSMAN Best Bitter.
