PLATINUM JUBILEE BEER

We are delighted to announce news of our new beer to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

The Queen is a great supporter of the Commonwealth, so the recipe includes barley grown at the Royal Farm in Windsor and a selection of world hops including Pacific Jade from New Zealand. As a finishing touch we are using champagne yeast to create a beer that’s platinum pale in colour and refreshing in taste.

Called CASTLE HILL, the new beer is available in 500ml bottles and then later in the year in 440ml cans at 5% ABV. The cask version for trade outlets and our bars will be available from May at 4.5% ABV.

The bottles will be offically launched at The Windsor Farm Shop and will be available here in the brewery on Friday 18th February. You can secure your bottles by pre-ordering here. We will deliver from 21st February.

Castle Hill is the perfect beer to enjoy at the Jubilee celebrations being held across the country and locally in Windsor that are being co-ordinated by the Windsor Platinum Jubilee team.

As well as being brewed in the heart of Windsor, the new beer has very strong Windsor links with local artist Basia Dobrzalska commissioned to create the design. Basia’s popular series of Windsor and Eton art prints are influenced by vintage travel posters but created with a modern twist. Bashia is a Windsor based artist, creator, and maker with over 30 years’ experience working in the Design industry. Inspired by the architectural and natural surroundings of Windsor and Eton, her art showcases a nostalgic world of simplicity, but each picture has been created with modern techniques, and features very fine detail. Although this art is digitally created, all of Basia’s artwork is hand drawn – giving the finished product a real human quality. In addition to this, Basia also creates art from recycled drinks cans, designs and creates vintage-style costume jewellery, wire sculptures, golf art and other crafts.

We would like to congratulate HM The Queen on this amazing milestone and hope you can all join us in raising a glass of Platinum Pale Ale in her honour.

Cheers,
